Le Bonheur (dir. Agnes Varda, 1965)
Such a beautiful film, the use of straight color cards to transition into different parts of the story give a very strong impression. It's only further heightened with how Varda uses very striking and limited colors for each scene making a really strong statement. I also really love how much she pushes the shadows at times, playing with the FG and BG contrasted in full shadows on the characters and the use of cools vs warms. I know I'm just stating the obvious, but her skills as a photographer are very evident and it feels very unique and fresh seeing how she translates those skills into film.
